Diamond Valley schools held an ANZAC Day commemorative service at Diamond Valley Secondary College on 23/4/2015. The 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse Regiment provided a catafalque party, guest speaker and a display of military memorabilia by the Unit History Room. The medallion was given as a token of appreciation.Bronze coloured 30 mm dia medallion. Obverse - Flaming torch, surrounded by "DIAMOND CREEK SCHOOLS 1915 -2015" Reverse - Monument standing in front of shrubbery. It is mounted on a card which provides a brief story of Australian involvement in WW1, names of Diamond Creek men killed, names of the local schools participating in the ceremony. Medallion and card laminated.

Medal issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Edward Henty's arrival in Portland, Victoria. Edward Henty was born in England in 1809 and migrated to Australia, as did his parents and brothers, in 1829. On 19 November 1834 he sailed from Launceston in the Hentys' own schooner, the Thistle, with stock and a small party. His brother Francis followed the next month with a small flock of merino sheep, the first in Victoria. The Henty brothers began whaling at Portland Bay and took their flocks and herds inland to the rich area on the Wannon River. In the 1840s they were eventually granted pre-emptive rights over most of their lands. Henty was known as a capable and energetic man and regarded as the chief actor in the early history of Portland Bay. He and his wife Anne Marie Gallie moved to Muntham, a 60,000-acre property that became widely known for its merino sheep and Durham cattle. It was also known for its extravagant hospitality - to which Henty's social ambition and vanity contributed considerably. This extravagance and Henty's obstinacy eventually led to the degradation of the flocks. Henty lived in Portland and in his Melbourne mansion, Offington, while he served as a member of the Victoria Legislative Assembly. He died on 14 August 1878Portland Jubilee Medal, 1884. Commemorative medal commissioned by the Victorian state government as a souvenir of the Royal Visit by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to Victoria in 1954. The medal was presented to all Victorian school children. It was struck by Stokes & Sons of Melbourne. The Queen and Prince Philip visited Victoria from 24 February to 9 March 1954. The first reigning monarch to tour Australia, she arrived in Sydney on 3 February 1954 and departed the country from Fremantle on 1 April 1954. The Royal party visited all the capital cities apart from Darwin, and over 70 country towns.Bronze medal, hanging from a rectangular bar.
