The Unicorn owned by PW Anderson, R Broomhall, KR Loughnan, P Pike, SL Dove & CF O'Dwyer, was trained and driven by Stephen Dove. The Unicorn raced from 1989 (2yo) through to 1995 (8yo). Ian and Jean McDonald were the children of Mr and Mrs Norman McDonald of 42 Gladstone Street, Orbost. This photograph was taken in late January, 1919 on Jean's first day at school.. It was taken at the home of John Rowe, the former headmaster of Orbost Primary School. He was then living opposite the school. Norman Alexander McDonald was a book-keeper at Macarthur‟s and was very musical. He was proprietor of the Capitol Cafe, Nicholson Street, Orbost, selling the business to Mr Coad on 4th December 1947. Clothing. Men's black woolen bathing suit. Rib pattern in woolen fabric. Overskirt at front-to 6cms above gusset. Black and white V pattern fabric strip on side seams, forms keepers for belt. Woven cream fabric belt with silver plate buckle. Applique emblem of sailing yacht on lower left-hand side of skirt. The bathing suit belonged to Flight Sergeant Richard Harry Adams of Brighton. He was reported missing during an operation near Scilly Islands and was presumed killed on 03/10/1943.
