Has a number of advertisements for SEC home equipment, cookers, toasters, refrigerator, electric radiators and hot water. In the middle page is a map of the Tramway Routes, which has been hand drawn to shown North Bendigo and the depot location. Inside the rear cover, on a sheet headed "Memorandum" is a photograph, taped in of a conductor loading a pram onto a Birney tram. Yields information about the rosters or the work patterns of the crews in operating the Ballarat tramway towards the time of closure. Has a strong association with the crews themselves as they had to know these on the job.Set of 10 sheets on heat sensitive paper of the roster or timetables of the various tram runs for crews detailing the time they sign on, what services they operate, times, meals, who relieves or takes them, and times finishing, total times and any notes eg change of tram type. Hand written on foolscap size graph paper, with additional notes in ink on each run as needed. Would have allowed the crews to copy into their own note books. Has an association with the donor's father.Colour ink jet printed photograph and enlarged photograph of an ESCo tram ticket No. Z 6564, 3d cash fare, up and down directions to specific destinations on the ticket - light brown colour. Donated by Peter Henry 22/4/14 who advised in a phone call on 26/6/14. Story behind the ticket. Peter Henry’s father was involved in the CFA and travelled to Ballarat for the Hose and Reel competitions that were regularly held. He was with the Warburton CFA at the time. Has badges for Geelong 1936 and Bendigo 1930, so ticket would have been in the 1930’s. Peter now lives at Linton. Yields information the appearance of Sturt St from Doveton St looking east and ESCo including the possibility of a horse tram being towed.Digital image from the Wal Jack Ballarat Album of Rose Series postcard No. 4627, of looking east from Doveton St along Sturt St with the Town Hall in the background. Two ESCo trams are in the photograph, the one nearest the camera with a "Vote No" advertisement on the back of the tram. The second tram, the furthermost from the camera appears to be towing a horse tram trailer. See image i3. Alan Bradley advised 22/12/11 - "The picture appears to be taken in 1930, which was the year of a local option referendum. There are several pics showing ESCo trams with "VOTE NO"on the ends. In my research someone noted a tram with "VOTE YES "on one end and "VOTE NO"on the other! A black car on the south side appears to be a late 1920s model. If the front tram is towing a horse tram trailer, it would be for the bicycle carrying service. Many employees on the morning shift rode to the depot to sign on, and signed off in the city so their bikes needed to be transported." Published by Rose Stereograph Co., Armadale Victoria. Type of coat worn by SEC tram crews in Ballarat from the mid 1930s through to 1971. Demonstrates the SEC Uniform in 1921. It is significant for its good condition, which is rare for an item of its age.Green woolen coat with brown leather detailing on sleeves and pockets, and three brass buttons. In 1977, artist Annette Meikle undertook a commission to illustrate a book recording stories of places and people in the Bayside area. It was published in 1978 as Sandringham Sketchbook, with text by Elizabeth Waters. The sketches were intended to record remaining examples of Bayside’s early architecture and environment, as well as reflect newer architectural changes. View of Charing Cross and Pall Mall Bendigo, featuring the Alexandra fountain still under construction. The fountain was jointly funded by the Bendigo Juvenile Industrial Exhibition in 1879, a 500 pound donation by George Lansell and a 700 pound grant from the Sandhurst City Council. The fountain was designed by William Vahland and was opened 5/7/1881. The fountain is 28 feet tall and sits in a 2 feet deep pond that is 50 feet in diameter.
