Gainsborough House was built of boxed poured concrete by Leslie Paynter and his father William Henry Paynter. Promotion by PTV of upgrade to unsafe terminus on a busy road. It followed similar upgrades to a number of other termini and preceded the combining of routes 8 and 55 into route 58 in 2017.
