'Test Cricket' was one of the most popular board games in the pre television era. John Sands Pty Ltd, the publisher, was an Australian bookseller and stationer founded in 1837 and produced board games from 1929-78.Board game consisting of a rectangular cardboard piece illustrated with a cricket ground, players and a scoreboard. Two semi-circles have been cut away from the background and are used to control the progress of the game. The right hand game control is moved to 'ball' position (1-8) and back to start which indicates the type of delivery shown in the window. The left hand control is moved to 'type of delivery bowled' and back to the start which reveals the number of runs scored or method of dismissal which is shown in the window. The scoreboard is operated by three circular wheels that show the result of runs and wickets. An oval handle is at the upper centre. A high achieving student John went on to become Dux of College 1919, School Captain 1920, Captain of cricket 1920, tennis 1918, 1919, 1920, football 1919, 1920, athletics 1919 1920, Stroke of first crew 1919 and 1920. The Coltman Demonstration Room, part of the MacKinnon Wing First Floor, was named in honour of John (1919py) and Owen Coltman (1917). This book was donated back to the school library in 1985. This bottle was used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was built in the 1950's specifically for the increase in population due to the Kiewa Hydro Scheme.Small clear glass bottle with a square base. The sides taper to the screw top opening with a bakelite lid which has embossed lines on it for easy opening. The top is on very tightly and a brown solid remains inside one quarter of the way up from the base. On 1 side is a yellow label with black writing and light blue back ground with white writing at the bottom (of the label). The label is complete but falling off. Valentine Series No 1083 The Willows Victoria Park. This photo was possibly taken before the diving tower and change rooms were erected. The Victoria Park name was changed to Cato Park in 1930.Two original Valentine Series and one enlarged black and white photograph of Victoria Park later called Cato Park. This hospital equipment was available in the 1950s when the Tawonga District General Hospital was built specifically for the increase in population due to the Kiewa Hydro Scheme.Historical: Shows the development of scientific hospital equipment. These scales were used in the Tawonga Store which opened c1920. They were used to weigh produce e.g.. flour & wheat that the farmers used on their farms and in their homes. These scales pre date packaging. Ref. Weights KVHS 0800 (A)The Tawonga Store opened c1920 and sold goods and produce to the farmers of the Kiewa Valley. The scales were a necessary item for a store as goods were sold in bulk. Large steel dirty black platform attached at the middle of the back to a red cylinder which has 2 smaller platforms coming out to the side. The top platform has a black steel lever attached and a hook to hold it down. Below this platform is a measuring rod marked 2,4 etc up to 14 on which hangs a eight.
