This photograph is part of the Caulfield Historical Album 1972. This album was created in approximately 1972 as part of a project by the Caulfield Historical Society to assist in identifying buildings worthy of preservation. The album is related to a Survey the Caulfield Historical Society developed in collaboration with the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and Caulfield City Council to identify historic buildings within the City of Caulfield that warranted the protection of a National Trust Classification. Principal photographer thought to be Trevor Hart, member of Caulfield Historical Society. Most photographs were taken between 1966-1972 with a small number of photographs being older and from unknown sources. The school was built and opened first in 1918 and the church was completed and opened in 1929. Notes the disadvantage of one many trams, with a large crowd having to pay separately as they enter. The register documents the weddings that took place in St. Peter's Mariners Church between October 1950 to January 1954. Each page is the legal documentation of the necessary information for the wedding to be registered in the Commonwealth of Australia. Two of the weddings registers also have Forms of Consent, as the brides were under age. This run-sheet and map were used for the opening of Booran Reserve at the corner of Booran and Glenhuntly Roads on Tuesday 11 April 2017. The Reserve was officially opened by the Mayor, Cr. Mary Delahunty and The Hon. Philip Dalidakis, MP, Minister for Innovation. The run-sheet contains information about the Order of Proceedings of the opening ceremony.
