In 2003, a proposal for a 5 storey building on the corner of Lambourn and Devonshire Roads Watsonia for an apartment complex, medical centre, shops and cafe was approved by VCAT, despite strong opposition by local residents. The proposal did not proceed. In 2019 a proposal for a 2 storey medical centre, cafe and residence was approved for the site and construction commenced.
