Lemon coloured ribbon, 2.5 cm wide, hand stitched and gathered, over a horseshoe shape - possibly a cardboard shape. A narrow .5cm lemon ribbon bow is attached at the centre top and extends into a 70cm (total length then folded in half) to make a 35cm loop, to hang over the arm. Merle's Grandmother was married in 1892. She celebrated her Golden Wedding in 1942. Golden yellow ribbon gathered over a horseshoe shape. Ribbon 48 cms long and 3cms wide forms a loop which is attached to the top of the horseshoe. Small satin covered horseshoe, with a decorative frilled netting at front. Three 1.5cm ribbon bows are attached to the front. Three small chiffon “roses” and a wax orange blossom bud on a paper covered wire are attached to the front. Top of the horseshoe has once had a ribbon loop to carry over the bride’s arm, but this has been badly damaged.
