Gisela Koch was a German internee in camp 3. She was given the box while in Camp 3. Her niece, Dr. Silke Hesse donated the item.Rectangular shaped polished wooden jewellery box, rounded edges. Hinged lid, brass hinges. Medium-light brown coloured wood. Dark green velvet lining inner & on base. Underside of lid is padded underneath velvet. Has tray insert, velvet covered also. The shield was donated by Tatura Chemist Mr Trevor LaPeyre for competition by district schools annually at Tatura Showgrounds. Trophy held by winning school for 12 months.
