.1 - Legal document - tender document - typed carbon copy titled "Supply and Erection of gates and paling fence and repairs to existing fences at the Royal Park car shed" with specification for the work, dated 25/3/1920 asking for prices - single sheet to be returned to the Secretary. .2 - same document but the lower portion has a price and name of the tenderer, John Broderick of Napier St Footscray, for 21 pounds. Series of 15 black and white photographs of the track works to reconstruct tram lines showing various methods and works during the 1960's. .1 - Jackhammers concrete out around wooden sleepers - the rails have been bolted to them. .2 - Excavated track or temporary track next to newly relaid track - Hawthorn Road by Caulfield Park? .3 - Partly completed work - nearest track relaid, second track still has wood blocks? and then a temporary track. .4 - Excavated previously concreted and bolted track. Appears to be new rail. .5 - Compacting a new track bed with work laying track in the background. .6 - Rail being craned into position onto small concrete blocks - Nicholson St North Fitzroy at Church St - the church is now Melbourne City Mission Palliative care centre. 1955/56 - construction of the replacement track. Digital image of "Electric Tram Driver's Certificate No. 407", issued to D. (Daniel) Patience, signed by G. Barker Instructor, with "A. W. Murdoch" stamp authorising the document, dated 23/3/1929. Donated by Betty (daughter - aged 90) and Cheryl Williams (grand daughter) of Daniel. Reported to have been the first driver leaving the then new Camberwell depot. Born in Avoch Scotland, was a police constable there, before emigrating to Melbourne. Was a cable tram Gripman in the Albert Park Area. Became an electric tram driver, then signalman at St Kilda Junction and trained as an inspector, but did not like the green uniform. Ran in the Stawell Gift of 1925 (injured foot during the race), was a Navigator on Transport RAF/RAAF flights during WW2. War memorabilia to the War Memorial Canberra. Timetable Notice giving details of temporary changes to service as part of the COVID 19 response where route 12 diverted by La Trobe St, and thus provided a service along Spencer St. Route 30 was suspended. Route 11A was introduced between Docklands and St Vincent's Plaza. htd4777i1.pdf shows a timetable alteration, reduction of services after 8pm, introduction of the 8pm to 5am curfew and stage four restrictions that were to apply (hopefully) for a six week period.
