This timber honour board was created in the 1930's and the name of the first nurse was added in 1934. The name of the last nurse was 1992 as the School of Nursing at Alfred Hospital closed.

Significance

This honour board is significant to all nurses who graduated from Alfred Hospital as it was a privilege to be nominated the nurse with best over all performance during the groups 3 years of training.
