Events that occurred in 1972 : Regional conference for state wide auxiliaries were held in seven centres - various departments of the RVIB were explained, publicity followed and a number of blind persons were acquainted with facilities offered by the Institute and are now taking advantage of the service provided, Burwood school acquired a caravan specially fitted and equipped as a mobile science laboratory, Charles W. Bennett - announced his retirement, Institute industrial department - also now offers horticulture.
