Albert Park is an inner suburb of Melbourne 3 km south of Melbourne's CBD. Its local government area is the City of Port Phillip.

Albert Park Police Station opened 20 March 1884. It has had various addresses, including 25 Victoria Avenue 1893-1900; 95 Victoria Avenue 1901-1902; 130 Victoria Avenue 1903-1905; 51 O'Grady Street 1906-1908; 49 O'Grady Street 1909-1931; 121 Danks Street 1932-1961; and 87 Danks Street 1962 until 1971 when it closed. In 1930 it was staffed by one 1st class Sergeant and 3 Foot Constables in a seven-roomed brick dwelling with slate and iron roof, on land measuring 108' x 21'.
