Historical information

From AUSTRALIAN POTTERY AT BEMBOKA website: "Gabrielle Brunsdon grew up in Sherbrooke Forest, Mt Dandenong. In the 1990s, she developed a method of painting ceramics using glazes in many colours inlaid with lines of oxide to define the image, and high-fired to produce vivid glassy colours. She also makes a line of lustre ware and works in other media as well - silks, wool, photography and design. Her ceramic work is marked with an incised 'Gabrielle Brunsdon Australia' or 'G Brunsdon Australia'."
