This is a framed black and white photograph of the Echuca Moama bridge. There is a steam train on the bridge, which is the first train from Moama to Echuca to cross the bridge.
Inscriptions & markings
Written in pen, "1st Photograph newly completed Murray Bridge. 1st train from Moama to Eucha (crossed out) Echuca. Toll gates & Customs Officer each side of Bridge. Bridge cleared all traffic 20 minutes before train time. Year approx. 1880 (or early 1881) Took 2 years to build. On a label stuck on the back of the photo; "HIGHEST QUALITY CONTEMPORARY AND PERIOD FRAMING IN OUR STUDIO WORK SHOP. The High St Gallery Ltd.
