This binder book contains a brief history of the Mason family from England to Australia and material about the Mason family and their descendants of 'Roselands', Masons Road in Mernda. . Lucy Canning (nee Mason) arrived 1842, followed by her brothers, John Mason in 1848 and Joseph Mason in 1855.

Significance

Family history of early Mernda Pioneers. In 1853 John Mason took up a grant from the Crown of 320 acres in what is now known as Masons Road, Mernda, and called it Roselands.
