About

We collect and display objects about all Fire Services past and present in the State of Victoria. We have large holdings of the three current services, FRV (Fire Rescue Victoria), CFA (Victorian Volunteer Brigades) and DSE (forests and public lands). We also have significant holdings of smaller and former services prior to the formation of the FRV in 2020. Along with the Insurance and Independent Brigades prior to 1891.

Our collection includes approximately 100 fire engines, dating from the 1860's to the 2000's. A small number of these are always on display in our public area in the former 1893 MFB HQ fire station. The rest are garaged in our Newport facility.
