The Mount Alexander Vintage engine club was established in 1997 for the Preservation and restoration of vintage engines.

Its purpose is to encourage, preserve, maintain, exhibit, demonstrate and restore historic machinery and memorabilia depicting the history of Tractors, Vehicles and Equipment including but not limited to by way of meetings, demonstrations, displays, education about and the instruction and operation of and concerning machinery generally; the conduct of vintage tractor pull events, club and association rallies, exhibitions, swap meets, working displays, Working horse/bullock pulling, working, displaying vintage farm equipment, Fundraising events and all associated purposes involving old machinery.
