.3) Letter from Elvie to Jack. He is John William PHILLIPS No 110, who enlisted 10.8.14 aged 19 years in A Coy 14 BN AIF. He embarked for overseas 22.12.1914. He was WIA in the arm & it was written by relatives that it was held together by guinea pig services. He was also gassed. John is the brother of Douglas George PHILLIPS MC.
