The machine was made by Hearl Heaton and Sons Ltd, founded in 1809. The company played an important part in Britain’s Industrial Revolution, providing bobbins to the textile mills across the North of England.
Physical description
Four black and white photographs of a yarn spinning machine. The first two photos show the machine in the lower floor of the building and the last two are on the upper floor. The are connected by the two chains working the machine.
