Historical information

On June 2, 1992 Tony Carr presented Elanora resident Jim Kibble with a plaque commemorating the anniversary of the battle. Also in attendance was Tony Thompson, a fellow Bullecourt veteran. A typed page providing an overview of both the battle and presentation is included.
The plaque reads:
Bullecourt 1917-1992
Sacred to the memory of the 10,000 members of the Australian Imperial Force who were killed and wounded in the two battles of Bullecourt, April - May 1917. And to the Australian dead and their comrades in arms who lie here forever in the soil of France.

This Monument was dedicated on Anzac Day, 25 April 1992 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Two Battles of Bullecourt April-May 1917
