In the 2016 Queens Birthday Honours list Pat GRAINGER was awarded the Order of Australia.

Pat GRAINGER's Order of Australia certificate in a blue velvet folder with the Victorian State emblem on the front cover. The folder is kept in a white cardboard sleeve.

In 1994, the Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Port Melbourne awarded Pat GRAINGER 'Citizen of the Year' in recognition of her service to the Port Melbourne Community.

The Marshall Manufacturing Company was established in Port Melbourne in 1888. It employed some 300 workers. By 1900 it was the largest shoe & boot manufacturer in Australia producing 12,000 pieces of footwear weekly. A fire in1901 gutted the building and the company moved to Richmond.

The Swallow and Ariell's, Port Melbourne factory was set up by Thomas SWALLOW in 1854 and produced cakes, biscuits and puddings until it closed in the late 1980's.

Large yellow painted Swallow & Ariell biscuit tin with flowers & leaves in a semi circle on the front.

This tin is not sold with the contents thereof but remains the property of Swallow & Ariell Port Melbourne.

The public housing units were demolished in 2023.
