The tram body straightening bay is to the west of the tram and a ballast trailer to the east. Photo taken on 4/7/1959. Keith Kings, the photographer has extensive notes hand written on the slide - that the tram was scrapped on 17/7/1959 and that it was the first W2 to be scrapped. Probably the last time 313 was photographed. Robin Boyd was appointed Exhibits Architect for the Australian Pavilion at Expo ‘70 in Osaka and travelled to Osaka several times in 1969-1970. Boyd designed the innovative Space Tube, which had over 25 exhibition boxes, projecting from it. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 100 tickets - dark blue ink on off white paper, with ticket number in black ink denomination 80c, headed Ballarat Vintage Tramway. On rear in blue ink are details of the BTPS. The 100 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy brown cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small brown cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. 2257.1 - A000001 to A000100 (The first block collected at the time of issue 1/11/1985) 2257.2 - A027001 to A027100 - collected 28/12/2002. 2257.3 - A049901 to A50000 (last block) - collected 30/6/2004 and added. The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets.
