Fitted to the folding doors of Z, A and B class tramcars mid to late 2000's?. It replaced a larger green fold out sign with an image of pedestrians and the word "stop" on it. Sign has not been used. Sign, painted onto a MMTB auxiliary destination board of the type that could hang on the front of a Melbourne tram car with the words "St Kilda Football Ground" Black letters on a yellow background. The bottom right hand corner of the St Kilda has the letters "G.H." indicating the depot that it belonged to - East Preston. The reverse side has been painted in black and a "Shop early" for Christmas sing has been pasted onto it. Metal sign, fitted with metal hanging brackets, riveted to sign on both sides. The letters of the completed banner were made by different churches within in the presbytery and spelled a sentence, presumably "BUILD YOUR CHURCH LORD!" Orbost was one of the churches that had the finished banner on display. On of 24 small banners with tabs at the top of each for hanging on a rod. 19 have large blue letters appliqued on them. Twenty two of the banners are roughly square and two are smaller and oblong. Three have no letters and are used as spacers in the four word sentence that the letters make. The banners are decorated with rural and coastal images. Rob Upson became a volunteer at the Bendigo Visitor Centre in 1998. The Staff produced a monthly newsletter called ‘The Grapevine’. Being reasonably new to Bendigo, Rob became interested in its history and began writing articles to share with the volunteers. He called them ‘Grapevine Cuttings’ under the pen name of ‘Merlot’. Rob wrote about 90 articles over a period of 12 years until ‘The Grapevine’ was finally pruned and shutdown.
