Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Ticket - black ink on off white paper, denomination 3d, numbered E105305, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. The ticket price is in orange ink while the ticket number itself is in black ink. The rear of the ticket is blank. Ticket is different to other 3d tickets, could have been printed earlier than these. Demonstrates how ESCo managed Weekly tickets during the late 1920's and yields information about the way the system was arranged. The source of the ticket, NSW tramways is significant in that it was obtained by them as a sample. Morning and Evening Weekly Ticket, price 1/3, printed for Week 1, that is not available for Sundays or Holidays. Ticket printed on light weight card, in two colours, light red and light green, numbered 0004 available only between Grant St (Mt Pleasant) and Doveton St. Notes the conditions of use, the time available for which the ticket may be used and where. Printed by J.J. Miller, Melbourne. In the bottom right hand corner has a perforated triangular section which could be removed. Has the words "P.M. Friday" printed on it. Note this part has been taped back onto the ticket. Ticket has been removed from a block - has staple hole at the top. The year is not known though it was pre 1952 when King George VI passed away. The reason for having the film is not known. There are records of Legacy showing films to junior legatees and this could be one of them.Legacy was founded by returned servicemen with a dedication to the royal family. A programme for a 'Gown of the Year' Gala parade presented by the Mannequins' Association of Victoria at the Menzies Hotel. The association were members of the modelling profession. They organised the gala and gave their services free so that all proceeds may to Junior Legacy Victoria. Every frock in the parade is an individual creation of Melbourne's top couturiers. Afterwards the gowns were put on display for the public at Melbourne Town Hall and entry charge of 2/- was contributed to Legacy.A record that Legacy used gala performances for fundraising events. Printed programme of The Gown of the Year gala in 1955 in aid of Legacy, with black and white photos and advertising inside. The cover has the Legacy emblem and 'to assist Junior Legacy, Melbourne'.
