The newsletter was published to address the Mercantile Marine primarily officers in the service. This is the number 19. The term "Merchant Navy" was coined in 1919 by King George V. So this foyer predates 1919.An unusual example of newsletter circulated by the Missions to Seamen (UK) during WW1. The Flying Dogtor is a black and white cartoon series, consisting of line drawings, devised and written by Robin Boyd. He also created the initial drawings for all the characters. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Two Blocks, each with four remaining tickets - orange ink on off white paper, denomination 3d, numbered V526396 - 99 and A648196 - 99, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. Originally a block of 200 tickets been stapled onto a cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a off white coloured or plain cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The ticket price is in orange ink while the ticket number itself is in black ink. On rear in orange ink is a diagonal criss cross or tartan pattern. 3987.1 - has a white cardboard back, slightly shorter than the ticket with ruling on one side. 3987.2 - has a brown / grey cardboard back.
