It covered events for the junior legatees such as basketball and boys classes in different locations such as Auburn, East Brighton, Central, Footscray, Coburg, Fitzroy, Kew, St Kilda East and Malvern, and swimming classes. Also mentioned Longbank a holiday home in Camperdown available at reasonable rates to Legacy Widows. Also an article on job opportunities for boys in the Royal Australian Navy. A newsletter published by Legacy in this format for many years from 1942. It mentions "Issued from time to time for Private Circulation among the Sons and Daughters of Deceased Service men and Merchant Seamen who served their Country during the War of 1914-18, or the present War" Many articles on the work of Legacy, including features on boys classes, girls classes, camps, the residences and where their past residents ended up. There are some suggestion for careers and some general interest articles. Newspaper clipping from The Sun (?), undated, late 1970? about Parliament (Victorian) being told by the Minister for Fuel and Power (Mr. Balfour) that the City of Ballarat wanted to scrap its trams, following a question from Mr. Trezise (ALP Geelong North) in the Legislative Assembly. No decision had yet been made. Also quotes the Secretary of the Ballarat Trades and Labor Council, Mr. A.C. Williams saying that Ballarat people would protest this decision. On rear of cutting has an item about the Noongah Enquiry, an inquiry into the sinking of the Noongah. Bendigo Advertiser ''The way we were'' from 2000. J.R. Hoskins saw mills: in December 1885, Joseph Hoskins purchased the timber yards of E. Noble. Eventually this yard run through to Dowling (now Queen) Street and a factory was established which supplied the blackwood seats for the new Sacred Heart Cathedral.
