Items belonged to Robert ALLEN No 7925 6th Field Artillery Brigade AIF. The grooves on the handles are from the barrel rifling, they have been engraved "Bapaume" "Pozieres." "Ypres". refer 1786P for service history also 1787.4.Trench art mounted into a picture frame (attached by wire through holes in back of frame) nine items made from spent artillery shells. Three cheese/butter knives, one spoon, two rising sun badges, two "Australia" shoulder badges, one RAA Corps badge. Badges - The Met - personnel employee numbers - Three parts - holder made from gold coloured plastic with a metal Met (the flying one) logo fixed above the holder and fitted with a pin. A engraved plastic, gold front, black rear number was then inserted and glued into the holder as shown by badge number 1041 where the number is loose. Medal - Victorian Centenary Medal, Andor Meszaros, 1951
Medal commemorating the Centenary of Government of Victoria and the Discovery of Gold, commissioned by the Victorian Government. Designed by Andor Mészáros and minted by K.G. Luke, Melbourne, 1951 marked the centenary of Victoria's separation from the colony of New South Wales. As part of the celebrations, the Victorian Government commissioned this medal from Andor Meszaros. Drawing on his classical background, Mészáros developed the imagery for 'Equality and Justice through Freedom'.
