Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Block of 25 No. 13 cent Parcel Tickets. Two part printed ticket, using sepia ink on white paper with a gummed back, stapled with a single staple at the top onto a cardboard sheet. Ticket Nos. A007001 to A007025 The ticket butt or top portion has the form number "TYE 3-590". The second or middle portion was to be affixed to the parcel to be carried. It has the name of the organisation (SECV), "Parcel Ticket 13c", conditions of carriage and ticket number, prefixed with the letter A. The lower portion was retained by the sender, was to be initialled by the conductor, organisation name, "Parcel Ticket 13c", conditions of use, ticket number and a space where to be initialled by the conductor. The 1969 Schedule of Fares and Charges gives the conditions of the use of these tickets. See Reg. Item No. 704. 1727.1 - As above, Ticket Nos. A007405 to A 007405. Yellow cloth backed paper ticket with white front, printed in black ink with fare value of $2.50. Blank or Unused Scholar's monthly ticket for use by under 15 years students, number No. 7386. Has form number "TYE 3-570" in top left hand corner. Space for an expiry date to be stamped on the ticket and name, address and school of the student. Demonstrates aspects of the SEC governance and monitoring system, gives information on actual tram running, tickets sold against a date. Could be used by Inspectors to check tickets on a tram. Version prior to the introduction of Pensioner fares.3045.1 - Printed form titled "Trip Way-Bill" of the SEC, Electricity Supply Department, Provincial Tramways, on thin off white paper. Gives value of tickets up to 7d, City 2d, Pensioners 2d and 3d and parcel stamps of 4d. Has space for the Run No, Conductor, Day, Date , route time and tram no. Able to be used on both sides of the sheet. Has sheet or print number of TYE 1-250 3045.2 - Photocopy of the same form with fares up to value of 1/-c, three city tickets, no pensioners and parcels of 6d. Original form to Bendigo Tramways. Under sheet number of TYE 1-250, has date of (R6/63). 3045.3 - similar to 3045.1 - but different TYE number and differences in font etc. While fare denominations to max value of 7d, has does not have City and Pensioner fares - used prior to the introduction of these fares - 1/11/1955 to 1/7/1958. Gives value of tickets up to 15c, , scholar and parcel tickets, special trams, value of tickets issues, cash paid in by conductor, value of tickets collected, surplus or deficiency and hospital vouchers and Outfit number of either side of the form. Has space for branch, as at date, with signatures of Compiler. Form has number TRM 583-1 (OP109) , with two large holes on left hand side for holding or filing into accounts books. Form ruled in blue ink horizontally and red ink vertically with some horizontal lines. A similar form, printed only in black, without the holes also donated by Peter Watt. Has fare values up to 18c. Twelve page booklet, plus medium weight card covers. Book cover has title "Electric Tramways of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria Amendment to By-Law January 1962". Pages are numbered pages 1 to 9 amending the 9/3/1937 By-Laws. Used to revise fares, parcel and luggage and charter rates in for Bendigo and Ballarat from 1/3/1963. Page 1 gives a list of amendments by date to the original by-law of 9/3/1937. Defines Pensioners and Child fares. Booklet dated January 1962, SEC Sealed the document 18/1/1962, Governor-In-Council approval granted 15/1/1963 and came into force 1/3/1963. Ephemera - Ticket, State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV), "Weekly Ticket 1/6d", 1940's?
SECV - 1/6d Weekly Ticket - white card, with black and red printing. Headed with SEC details, punch marks for day of week on the sides, in and out directions and in the centre area of the ticket, overprinted in red, numbers 1 to 8. On rear has availability details, where it can be used, not available on Sunday and ticket number "EA341101" printed on the ticket in black ink. Has been used and possibly ex a tramcar given the condition. Note different style to that held to date (5/2005) for use in Ballarat and Bendigo. Book, State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV), "Electric Tramways of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria By-Law No. 1", 1951
Demonstrates aspects of the SEC governance system in issuing By-laws for the travelling public, as part of their Act. Yields information about fares charged for tram services in Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. Issued to crews.Twenty page booklet, plus medium weight card light blue colour covers centre stapled. Book cover has title "Electric Tramways of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, By-Law No. 11". Along the bottom edge is the date, "August 1951" and SEC print number - "TYE 1-27" Pages are numbered pages 1 to 20. Document give by-laws and amends the fare schedules for Ballarat, Geelong and Bendigo. Dated by the SEC 19/7/1951 to come into effect 1/7/1951 Details names of SEC Commissioners on rear page. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Block with two remaining tickets - red ink on off white paper, denomination 8d, numbered A801798 - 99, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. Originally a block of 200 tickets been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a off white coloured cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The ticket price is in red ink while the ticket number itself is in black ink. On rear in red ink is a diagonal criss cross or tartan pattern.
