Special coronation issue of the sun news - pictorial dated Monday, June 1st, 1953. on the front a photo of queen Elizabeth II in her royal carriage with the words " happy and glorious, long to reign over us: God Save The Queen!" On the back a photo of Queen Elizabeth II and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. With the words underneath: The Queen and her consort in state dress. with her robe and garter collar, the Queen wears the diamond tiara-crown which from tomorrow will be replaced on high occasions by the Imperial State Crown. Photograph - LONG GULLY HISTORY GROUP COLLECTION: THE MANCHESTER ARMS LATE LAST CENTURY
Cutting from a newspaper titled Bendigo - the way we were. Photo shows two horse drawn vehicles standing outside the Manchester Arms Hotel. Both are pulled by grey horses. The two horses in the front vehicle are wearing a white lacy sort of covering over their backs and rump with pompoms on the edge. The carriage has a bride and groom sitting in it. The second carriage has four horses harnessed to it. The building has M.U.I.O. Odd Fellows Hall above the veranda and also Manchester. The edge of the veranda has iron lace. Written on the back is: from before 1903 and Bible Christian Church House in the middle. Bendigo Advertiser "The way we were" from 1999. Queen Street: factory, circa 1900. In 1893, Simon Brown formed a partnership with Charles Turner in Williamson Street, Bendigo, trading as Brown&Turner. The partnership had ceased by 1900 when the business was relocated to a modern two-storey brick building at 8-12 Queen Street where it traded as S. Brown & Company.
