This book was owned and used by Professor Ferdinand M. Krause of the Ballarat School of Mines.Ferdinand Krause was a renowned teacher at the Ballarat School of Mines. William Baragwanath was educated at the Ballarat School of Mines, obtaining a Geology Certificate in 1911. After further study he went on the become Secretary for Mines, and Chief Mining Surveyor.
