The building is the former Bulla Post Office and general store which was damaged by fire in 1989 and never rebuilt. A private house now occupies the site. The post office was relocated to a service station about 1km away. The photograph is of the Jacksons Creek taken in the vicinity of Mill Falls, near the former 'Springvale' winery, which was downstream from the Sunbury township. The former blue-stone Bulla Store and Post Office was damaged by fire in September 1992. Unfortunately it was not restored despite its heritage listing and the fire-damaged building was finally demolished.
