Doris Vivienne (Dossie) (Clegg) Mooney attended CPLC 1928 - 1932; daughter of Gladys Irene McCleave. A keen athlete Dossie competed in a variety of events at the annual Sports Day competitions. This cup was awarded for her overall championship for the junior grades in 1932. Dossie left CPLC in 1935. She was a member of the Running and Basketball teams in her final year. Fawn-coloured setting was donated to the school by Mr Robert Murray in 2005. The setting was hand painted by Lucy Shaw, (principal of Clarendon PLC 1927-1934) in 1934. The sets were sold to raise money for the school. Malcolm McKenzie entered the school in 1923 and again in 1929 and left in 1933. A highly competitive sportsman, this trophy was awarded to him as Open and Under 16 champion trophy in 1931. During 1944 - 1952 the school had an elocution teacher on staff, Miss Marjorie James. In 1945 the Clarendon Junior Verse-Speaking Choir came second at the Royal South Street Eisteddfod.
