Tobacco in the Kiewa Valley. Tobacco was grown in Victoria for many years but the main areas (from the 1960s) included the Upper Kiewa River Valley where areas were suited. A Tobacco Research Station was established in Myrtleford, the geographical centre of the North Eastern tobacco growing area.Tobacco was grown successfully in the Kiewa Valley1.
