Featured in the background is a dense patch of trees completed in shades of blue. To the right of the water is a dense patch of trees completed in shades of brown and black. John Stuart Macleod Murray (03/05/1933 - 18/03/2011) was a scientist who worked in forestry soil conservation before taking out a Bachelor of Theology with honours at the University of Melbourne and a Doctorate in Divinity at the University of Chicago. His early work used welded and cast metal objects. In the 1980s he transitioned to marble sculpture Clive Murray White was Head of Sculpture at the Monash University Churchill (now Federation University Gippsland).
