Pethard, Golden Square, Bendigo' on bottom LH corner. Fund raising events for an electric blower for the church organ ; the Augustonian Fair; Harvest Festivals; the Forest Street Men's Choir and the Jubilee League are featured in the requests for funding support. The motto of the church is 'Think' - 'He can who thinks he can' A photo of the interior of the Church is shown in the 10th November, 1922, program. -

Golden Square Methodist Grand Concert and Organ Recital by Mr Mansley Greer, (of Melbourne). Wednesday August 18th, 1909. Participants; Church Choir, Mr Mansley Greer, Mr Percy Hampton, Miss Winnie Bradbury, Miss Jennings, and Mr E H Collett. Concert will start punctually at 8 o'clock. Admission 1/- Seats may be reserved in any part of the church for 6d. Extra. Plan of seats by flights. 3 photocopies of groups of students, appear to be choirs. Bendigo Competitions Shield displayed in front row of each image, male teacher seated in centre of front row in each photo is same person. Students are un-named. Shield on display is in the Golden Square Primary School Collection, held by the BHS 8800.301 . The shield was manufactured by Prescott & Dawe Silversmiths, Bendigo. ( silver label on bottom of shield ) On top scroll reads' Bendigo Advertiser Shield' The inscription on bottom scroll reads: Bendigo Competitions, School Choir competition, Section 'B' Grade VIII and under. Golden Square won it in 1929, 1930 and 1931.
