Golden Square Fire Brigade was established in High Street, Golden Square, in 1881. A New station building was opened in 2025 in Speciman Gully Road.Bendigo Advertiser '' the way we were'' from 2002. Dedication: Chief Officer A. Pitfield presents long service certificates to Jack Harper and Bob McGann. The two Golden Square firemen have 84 years' service between them and one of the finest service records in the brigade. Date unknown.
