John Brownless No 6317 enlisted in the 10th Battery 4th Field Artillery Brigade on 12.8.1915 aged 25 years. Embarked 18.11.1915 for Eygpt. He was awarded the "Military Medal" for actions in the field. He was discharged from the AIF on 16.3.1919 medically unfit not due to misconduct. He served 1170 days overseas.
