Surrey Hills Golf Club operated from 1892-1908 then moved and became Riversdale Golf Club. The game was played across paddocks from Trafalgar Street, Mont Albert to Whitehorse Road and down Victoria Crescent to where Box Hill TAFE is now located in Elgar Road. There were problems with cows eating the tee flags! The clubhouse still exists as 30 Trafalgar Street.Black and white panoramic photo taken from the corner of Braemar and Melrose Streets, Box Hill North. There is a large area of ground in the front. The Collingwood Campus library of NMIT was redeveloped in 2007 and renamed the Bill Freeman Library and Student Centre. The new centre was designed to meet changes in thelibrary to a more student-focused service. It provides spaces for a variety of learning needs and styles. The library was named after Bill Freeman, a long-standing institute council member of Collingwood College of TAFE and later NMIT, serving as NMIT Council President 2002-2006. He retired from the Council in 2007.As the first 'student centre' the Bill Freeman Library and Student Centre was a design model for the development of Fairfield, Heidelberg and Epping campus libraries.2 copies of colour brochure, printed on A4 and folded to A5.
