Yields information about many transport tickets systems from around the world, including some SEC tickets. Has a strong association with Wal Jack.Diary, printed for 1934, two days per page - full bound and sewn in black Rexene with end papers (partly removed) with gold block title "Diary 1934" on front and "1934" on spine of book, stationary item, with a Nestle's product advertised on the bottom right hand pages. Sets of SEC Provincial tramways pre purchase strip tickets (known in Bendigo as Section tickets) consisting of 6 No. 2d tickets (1/- worth), printed on green 210 gsm pasteboard and blind perforated at each ticket to enable them to be torn off and cancelled. Each ticket strip has the same ticket number. Form TYE 2-16. Each strip consists of 6 tickets, except .11, which is two tickets. Tickets availability printed on back of ticket - City and Section 2 or 2 3, between 2 and 3, or between 2, 3 and 4 or between 3 and 4. Not known when in use at time of cataloguing. Pre 1950's? Seventy two page photocopied document within card covers and outer plastic covers with an additional introduction page between front clear plastic cover and card cover bound with a white comb binder. Book titled "Tramway Permanent Way" presenting a series of lectures by MMTB Per Way officers in 1928 at Hawthorn Depot. Contents in order: 1. Handwritten note from Chris Jacobson on Metropolitan Transit Authority of Victoria memo paper forwarding a copy to Warren Doubleday of the BTPS in Feb. 1988, with date received stamp at depot of 19/2/1988. 2. Photocopy of a memo on Metropolitan Transit letterhead from K. C. Painter dated 20/7/1987 to the Civil Engineering Design drafting staff forwarding a copy of the 1928 lectures to the then current staff. 3. Photocopy of a circular from J.P. Strickland, Chief Engineer to track inspectors, sub overseers, overseers and senior gangers advising that a series of weekly lectures on track work would be held at Hawthorn Depot commencing 23/1/1928. 4. Lecture notes: 1. Interpretation of Drawings 2. Alignment etc 3. Alignment continued and special work 4. The drainage system 5. Concrete 6. Rails and Fastenings 7. Welding 8. Timber 9. Prepared originally in about 1988, placed on sale at the depot in 1989. Has drawings of California Combination tramcars, Toastrack trams, Bogie trams, One-man trams, a maze drawing for the horse tram, a join the dots drawing, decode this message and a mathematical problem. Copies on sale prepared by photocopying. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 200 tickets - black ink on off white paper, denomination 10c, lettered A 177800 to A 177999, headed Ballarat Tourist Tramway. The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple. The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets. Tickets in use as child return tickets from 24/12/1975 to 1/11/75 and as child single tickets in 1/11/75 to 30/6/78. See BTM Fare Chart. Black and white photos, map, covers, brief history of Adelaide's transport and some Museum exhibits 264.2 - within book - Letter from Garry Ord to N.Gower dated 7 august 1967 on Australian Broadcasting letterhead, Queensland branch, noting replacement of trolley buses in Adelaide and returning booklet. 264.3 - newspaper cutting within booklet, dated 22/11/1968, noting 10th anniversary of closure of Adelaide street trams and referring to an "in Memorial" notice.
