The Guiding Light symbol appears on the next issue of certificates from the Association, using the sphere and triangle shapes that would also become part of name badges and other items around the organisation. To recognise volunteers, lapel pins were struck by the Association for the Blind. These consisted of the Association for the Blind symbol of a Guiding Light (a round circle with two uneven triangles either side and a single line passing either side of the circle), in gold against various backgrounds. These badges are unused and were possibly available for those guides who took part in the various camps or became new members. they were designed to sew on to the guide uniforms or blankets. Nancye Wallace (nee Warren) was a Guide leader.Established in 1910, Girl Guiding is now one of the largest all female organisations in the world. The Merle Bush Trefoil Guild was registered in Bendigo on 18/06/1981.The decision to disband the Merle Bush Trefoil Guild was made at a General Meeting on 17/02/2016. Banner used during 1984 tour of Canada and America by the Guiding Light Square Dance club. Made by Margaret Fox, who along with her husband Colin, volunteered to teach square dancing at the AFB. The town of Tawonga is in the Kiewa Valley surrounded by farmland. It is adjacent to Mt Beauty (built in 1946) , an SECV town built for the workers on the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme which was being constructed from 1911-1961. Tawonga consisted of essential amenities including a store, school, butter factory, sporting facilities, post office, hall and hotel. Activities involved sport, social get togethers eg. dances, fundraising, CWA etc.The posters are a collection of historical photos, documentation and information regarding the history of the town of Tawonga, which is the centre of a faming community in the Kiewa Valley.Posters framed with thin black plastic strip, covered, by glass.
