The album was obtained by the Phillip Island & District Historical Society at an auction of The Earl's possessions, on 7/3/1990. The cover of the album is made of brown vellum(?) on cardboard and has a vellum (?) thong tying the pages together. On the front is an embossed lady and embossed gold lettering.
