Medal was given to seller's mother when she was very young by a boyfriend who was a descendant of Jack Hart. Hart didn't play in the 1911 premiership team so medals must have been presented to more than the winning team. Gold 1911 VFL premiership medal. Medal is shaped like a Maltese Cross with a scroll along top edge and fine engraved decoration on the arms of the cross; there is a raised circular border in centre around a raised image of a footballer about to kick the ball. Reverse is engraved "V.F.L. Premiers 1911 Essendon Football Club pres. by A. McCracken, Esq., to J. Hart". Medal is hallmarked.Reverse is engraved "V.F.L. Mt Beauty was a construction town built from 1948. The houses were English Pre-cut Types - several of each type were erected with several variations. This house had 3 bedrooms and is dated as 'traced on 18 Dec. 1956'. Mt Beauty is a construction town built by the SECV during the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme for workers and their families. Houses were provided along with many other facilities eg. schools. This house plan is a good indication of the quality of housing provided at the time eg. laundry, toilet etc. Large sheet with title at top "State Electricity Commission of Victoria" showing 'front', 'right' and 'left' elevations and the 'floor plan'. They were used to identify the Dead and Injured soldiers, one tag being removed for records and the other being left on the deceased serviceman. Rolling papers are small sheets, rolls, or leaves of paper which are sold for rolling cigarettes either by hand or with a rolling machine. When rolling a cigarette, one fills the rolling paper with tobacco. Rolling papers are most commonly made with wood pulp, hemp, flax, or rice straw as a base material. 1860 Samuel Ramsden, a Yorkshire man, founded first paper mill in Victoria on the banks of the Yarra River, Fairfield, Melbourne. This was the Australian Paper and Pulp Company which for most of its history was called The Australian Paper Manufacturers Ltd. until it changed its name in 1986 to Amcor. In 1919 the company opened its mill on the corner of Upper Heidelberg Road and The Chandler Highway in Fairfield and remains there today.
