These Miner's Rights may refer to the Ballarat Observatory in Magpie Street (to be confirmed), and were possibly handed over when James Oddie gifted the Observatory to the Ballarat School of Mines. Seven Miners Rights made out to James Oddie between September 1900 and February 1909.
