Textile Satin and machine ...A pink satin and cream machine lace bedspread made from alternative 13 to 14cm wide strips in a rectangular pattern with central rectangle set at 45 degrees. Three sides are edged with silk chenille bobbles in pink and cream. The central rectangle and the four corners surrounding the central rectangle have a floral cut work pattern in the silk overlaying the lace which has couched cornelli work.. Large banner for Bendigo Symphonic Youth Band. Fabric block letters have been individually machined onto a sky blue background to form the band's name. At the top of the banner there is an insert for a rod to enable the banner to be hung or carried in a march. Two selected letters - O and B have spotted fabric within the outlined letters so that these stand out at a distance. Textiles. A war time souvenir from Palestine. Pale gold silk, embroidered with a depiction of the''Mosque of Aman (?) Souvenir of Palestine, 1942, floral emblems and a bow. A 4cm long silk fringe in gold and reddish colours borders the cushion. Back of the cushion is gold coloured cotton. Machine and hand stitching. Textile - SIDE TABLE CLOTH, Mid 1900's - 2000's
Cream linen fabric, rectangular in shape. One log edge is finished with a 16 cm wide band of lace. This lace has been.machine made, and attached to the linen with a zig-zag machine stitch. The woven pattern in the lace is geometric in style. The other three sides are edged with 1.5 cm wide, woven lace in a scalloped design. Textile - FAVALORO COLLECTION: PIECE OF SILK FABRIC WITH LACE AND EMBROIDERED INSERT, 1920-30's
Textiles. This is a beautiful remnant of fine cream silk fabric, with a 3.5 cm deep band of cotton lace, woven with a floral design, stitched around the lower edge. A triangular shape above the lower edge, is formed by the insertion of a piece of 2 cm wide cotton lace, also with a floral design, folded and machine stitched as an insertion. The same lace is also inserted in a 9.5 cm high "frame" over an embroidered panel 7.5 cms x 6 cms wide, and featuring a delicate circular embroidered and cut-work floral design. (Perhaps this remnant of beautiful fabric was cut from the lower edge of a camisole, or a babies gown).textiles, domestic, piece of silk fabric with lace -

Textile - FAVALORO COLLECTION: EMBROIDERED LACE EDGED PAIR OF PILLOWCASES, Early 1900's
Textiles. Very fine linen, white in colour - (now a soft cream colour). A spoke-stitched hem stitched to join a decorative panel at the opening end. This panel forms two gracious curves, where the initials C F have been embroidered and decorated with a curvaceous three segment clover leaf. A 10 cm deep crochet frill finishes the curves. The initials C F may be those of Caterina Lamaro who married Giovanni Favaloro, or those of Caterina Lopes who married Salvatore Favaloro. A linen fabric ''envelope'' has been formed by folding the fabric, and stitching one side seam. Textile - FAVALORO COLLECTION: EMBROIDERED LACE EDGED PAIR OF PILLOWCASES, Early 1900's
