The floor covering in the living/dining room was originally seagrass matting as seen in the Strizic photographs of 1959 and 1963. This was replaced after the Boyd's saw a large cream rug floor covering at the Shelmerdine's house and liked it. It was purchased from Myer. In 2007, that rug was found to be moth-eaten and treated and put into storage. Robin and Patricia Boyd had blond wood Thonet dining chairs in their Camberwell home and Walsh Street home. These were replaced with nine black Thonet dining chairs (one a carver with arms) by Patricia and John Davies - they also purchased two bar stools at the same time. The set of nine dining chairs are currently stored offsite. These two chairs and another pair of chairs (item F044) are Grant Featherston prototypes of the 1947 Relaxation Chairs. These chairs came from the Boyd family's Camberwell home (666 Riversdale Road, Camberwell, formerly 158 Riversdale Road) and were originally upholstered with webbing. The fixings were modified in the final product relaxation chairs. Robin Boyd designed the Ivanhoe home of Grant and Mary Featherston (1967).Set of two black and grey fine checked wool fabric.
