Churchill Island Heritage Farm has a large photograph collection dating from the nineteenth century to the present.Black and white photograph of horse, 'Ginger', pulling a cart loaded with hay through an open gate. Arthur Evans sits on top of the load driving the horse, and another man stands behind them.Catalogue number written in pencil on the reverse. Handwritten on reverse in pen '1940 "Ginger" the draught horse and the cart. MID TOP myself (ARTHUR EVANS) with the head cut off!! Harry Jenkins bought the horse "delivered to Stony Point". He took him over on the Killara to Cowes and rode him to Churchill Island and came over on the Boys' Home crossingchurchill island -

Content of folder include: 1- Transcribed (German to English) copies of letters written by Ludwig to his daughter Marga and others, whilst interned in UK and Australia. Original letter are in the hands of Ludwig's son. 'Craiglee' Winery was established by James Stewart Johnstone in 1865 and the property continued to function as a winery until the late 1920s. The vines were uprooted and the property was used for wool and fat lamb production. In 1961 the Carmody family purchased the property and in 1976 re-established the vineyard.A coloured landscape photograph overlooking Craiglee Winery and vineyard as well as the Sunbury township and its surrounding hills north of the town. The photograph was taken in The Nook. Terence O'Brien rented the land from Goonawarra from the 1890s to 1905 where he grew cereal crops. The terraces on the hillside were built to grow vines when the property was one of the first vineyards in the area.
