Possibly screen printed by the company who did the school uniforms.The music stand banners identified the school when its music groups were performing at events in the community or at competitions such as the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod, adding a professional appearance to the groups. One of a number of photoboards commissioned by Latrobe City to celebrate the centenary of his 1899 birth. The Sir Macfarlane Burnet Library at Grey Street Primary School, Traralgon, was dedicated in 2001. Mac and his sisters Doris and Annie attended Traralgon State School, then located in Campbell Street. Wax mould from which bronze bust of Sir Macfarlane Burnet was cast. The bronze bust is located on a plinth outside the Traralgon Court House in Franklin Street and was commissioned by Latrobe City to celebrate the centenary of Sir Macfarlane Burnet's birth.Mac Burnet attended Traralgon State School, and went on to become Director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and share the Nobel Prize for Medicine with Peter Medawar of London University.Wax model by artist Glen Davies

The Methodist Order of Knights was the official youth organisation of the Methodist Church of Australasia. It originated in Hurstville, NSW, on the 4th October 1914 by the then Mr and later Rev Alex Bray. Alex Bray was a Sunday School teacher and spoke to his class of the Knights of the Round Table. In 1917 the Order of Knights was officially recognised by the Sunday School Dept of the NSW Methodist Conference. Courts spread thoroughout Australia. In 1927 the High Court of NSW called for designs for a badge and in 1929 the General Conference of the Methodist Church of Australasia recognised the Order as an approved Organisation. In 1938 the Senior Section was organised into Degrees of Sincerity, Service and Sacrifice; the Junior Section into Pages' Degree with advancement to Esquire. In 1954 the Junior Section was reorganised into two groups: Pages 8 to 11 years and Esquires 12 to 15 years. The Knight's Motto: "Live Pure, Speak True, Right Wrong, Follow Christ the King, else wherefore born?" Courts of the Order: General Conference Department of the Christian Education - General Court - Provincial High Court - District Court - Local Court - Senior Court - Intermediate Court - Junior Court . Regalia: All members of the Intermediate and Senior Courts wore regalia consisting of a cloth shield superimposed by a cross of light and dark blue ribbons, and supported by a cloth collar. Esquire and Degree of Sincerity regalia: White collar and white shield. Degree of Service regalia: Green collar and shield. Degree of Sacrifice: Scarlet collar and shield. District Court regalia: Blue collar and gold shield. High Court regalia: Gold collar and purple sheild. General Court regalia: Purple collar and shield. Gilbert William Arthur "Gil" Duthie AM (21 May 1912 – 13 June 1998) was an Australian politician. Born in Nhill, Victoria, he was educated at state schools and at the University of Melbourne before becoming a schoolteacher and farmer in rural Victoria. In 1938 he was ordained a Methodist minister, and in 1944 he moved to Latrobe, Tasmania. In 1945 and 1946 Duthie was directly involved with Australian rules football in the town. He was secretary of the Latrobe Football Club as well as playing senior games for it in the NWFU competition.[1] In 1946, Gil Duthie was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Wilmot, defeating sitting Liberal MP Allan Guy. From February 1956 until December 1972 he was the Labor Party Whip in the House. He held the seat until 1975, when he was defeated by Liberal candidate Max Burr.
