Alec William Bond was Secretary and Engineer for the Shire of Bacchus Marsh from 1924 until his death in 1968. The position of Secretary was similar to a Chief Executive Officer in contemporary terminology. This photograph of a charity donation from 2 FD Svy Sqn to the Director of the Prince of Wales Childrens Hospital, was taken in Sydney in 1989. CPL Bob Hopper and SPR Bob White presented a Kangaroo Pump, used for feeding sick children to the Director that was purchased with leftover Regimental funds when the unit closed down.
