Handwritten letter from Jim Goodman of 43 Jackson St Long Gully, dated 1/12/1942, to Wal Jack. Gives details of the new line to North Bendigo, issues with construction, sources of rails, timetable services on the line, colour light signals. Produced by the North Sydney Boys High School Railway club, prior to the closure of the Bendigo system - little else written and published at the time about the history and details of the system. A very good booklet for the time - produced entirely by the wax cut stencil process. Has a strong association with the people who prepared the document. Lower significance as not directly associated with Ballarat.Twenty page booklet on the history, operation and tramcars of Bendigo, produced by the Nth Sydney Boys High School Railway Club in September 1971. Printed on a wax cut stencil process, with green covers, drawings, maps, track layout, fleet list, gives tentative closure dates, route descriptions, sketches, stapled on edge. Rose Series postcard P13585, of a bogie tram heading to Eaglehawk behind the fountain and a single trucker heading for Golden Square hidden behind a pole. Has a number of advertisements for SEC home equipment, cookers, toasters, refrigerator, electric radiators and hot water. In the middle page is a map of the Tramway Routes, which has been hand drawn to shown North Bendigo and the depot location. Inside the rear cover, on a sheet headed "Memorandum" is a photograph, taped in of a conductor loading a pram onto a Birney tram.
